A Moment in Time – Winter in Peak District

I went with my friends to York last Sunday. As we were approaching Peak District there was more and more snow. Snow! In England? That’s something you don’t see very often. At least not on the ground. Usually it melts the same moment it touches the ground. But there it was. Snow. A lot of snow! On fields, on tree branches, on car roofs. Freshly fallen.

It reminded me winters in the Czech Republic several years ago. We stopped a few times just to take pictures (and once to reverse back down from the hill because the car didn’t want to go further uphill on the snowy road). I wish there were more beautiful winter days like this one.
