Street art Saturday: Barcelona

Last week I took a break with this series as I was too busy, but now I’m back with the fifth episode of Street art Saturday to show you some more photos of street art I snapped during our travels across Europe. Today’s destinations will be Barcelona. You can find links to the previous posts from the series at the bottom of the page.

Our visit to Barcelona in 2013 was a short one – we spent there just 2 days. That is too little to explore it properly and I’m sure one day we will go back to make up for that. However, even in such limited time I managed to snap some street art.

These running zebras were symmetrical with the motorbikes parked in front of the wall. It’s just a pity I didn’t avoid the lamp-post. There were not much colours in the photo, so I converted it to black and white.

This work of art is, in contrast, nicely colourful. I like the shapes and texture, too. It is even signed so it truly looks like a piece from some exhibition.

The last one is the best, in my view. I like the complexity of the scene and how it reflects Gaudi’s mosaic style, so typical for Barcelona.

Now to you – did you see any other interesting examples of street art in Barcelona?
